Giving Your Marriage A Second Chance
He made a promise that you’re the only one and yet, you caught him having an affair with someone else. You felt you’ve been deserted with the one you love. Hurt and anger blends in your heart and the only way to pour it out is through revenge.
Deciding whether or not to give your husband another chance is not always easy. Even the largest and the most unwanted insects manage to find small cracks in the walls of our homes to sneak in and make our lives miserable. Some of us can say the same thing about our ex-lover who had managed to sneak into our lives by convincing us that they abandoned their jerk status and deserve a second chance.
It is very important to ask yourself some questions when your ex-lover tries to crawl back and you don’t know whether or not your relationship deserves a second chance.
1) Let him impress you. More importantly, be impressed by him and let him know it. He wants to impress you. On some level he needs to. Acknowledge his efforts, his progress, and his success. Avoid condescension. This is a time when you want to point out his strengths and make him feel as though you are on his side. Get in the habit now and you will have little trouble following through with this positive trend as you build a new and improved relationship together.
2) Ask your friends and families opinion. Your friends and families are the ones who know what’s best for you. They are your support system and always at your side when you needed a shoulder to cry on. They will always provide an advice when you are confused or distraught.
3) Determine whether second chance will really work. It’s not an assurance that love is merrier the second time around, sometimes second chance is more worst that the first. No more time to waste. You can feel if the relationship will certainly work as the conversation gets deeper and deeper.
4) Be your charming best. This isn’t only his second chance. This is your opportunity for a second chance with the man you love too. You want to remind him of all the reasons he loves you too. The fact that he wants a second chance with you and is willing to work to save your marriage is a good sign but it doesn’t mean you have everything “made in the shade”. You’re going to have to roll up your sleeves and work to make things go great this time around too. Your first date the second time around is a great place to get started.
